Welcome to People for a Healthy Community (PHC)! We are a community based, not for profit, organization serving Gabriola Island. We support individuals and families during vulnerable times in their lives while strengthening community resilience. Vulnerability can occur at any stage of life, in an acute or chronic way.

The Gabriola Health Care Foundation's (“GHCF”) role, to paraphrase its Constitution, is to help improve the primary health care services provided to the residents of and the visitors to Gabriola by helping to identify their health care needs.

Through a network of hospitals, clinics, centres, health units, and residential facilities, Island Health provides health care to people on Vancouver Island, on the islands of the Georgia Strait, and in the mainland communities between Powell River and Rivers Inlet.
